Acquired in 2017 with funding from the John R. Evans Leaders Fund of the Canada Foundation for Innovation. It has since been used in field campaigns at Harvard Forest, the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, the Morgan Monroe Forest, the Pasoh research forest and the Acadia Research Forest.
